Question: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “My awesome father Joe Darrell. He was in the professional services industry (attorney.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in DTSP, and what do you love there?
Q: How long have you lived or worked in DTSP?
A: “I moved to St. Pete in 1998. I graduated from USF in 2003. However, I always worked in Tampa until I launched Waterside Staffing in 2018.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in DTSP? Who would you like to see nominated as a Face of DTSP?
A: “The most interesting person I’ve met would have to be Charlie Christ. Though I don’t know him beyond a few chance interactions, he is a pretty energetic guy and has a world class sense of humor. As far as nominating someone as a Face of DTSP, I would like to nominate the Vitale Bros collective. They are local painters who helped kick start the mural movement in Downtown, and they have been active for many years.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: “Wine country, Northern California. Because I like to drink wine and the weather is nice.”

A: “My favorite movie is Christmas Vacation. My first movie in the theater was Alien with Sigourney Weaver. I was four years old. Ha!”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Always be honest & transparent in everything you do. You might not make the most money in the room living by this mantra, but you will always be revered as a professional with good intentions.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “To travel around New England during the summer months with my wife. I am very interested in the history of that part of the country, and I love the countryside.”

A: “My favorite music is Techno/house. Three bands I would like to see is the entire Wicked Sound system Crew at once (again), Idjut Boys, or Lil’ Louis.”
Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about DTSP?
Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? Where in DTSP would you have lunch?
A: “Salvador Dali would be great, but since he is dead, I would like to have lunch with Richard Branson. I bet he likes Martinis and would pick up the bill!”
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about DTSP?
A: “What makes DTSP unique is the waterfront parks. I am a runner, and I love my early morning run through the parks. Most waterfront cities would have built houses right up to the water (Tampa), but not us!!”
